Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator Qualifications

The question about the credentials required to offer accredited facilitator, assessor and moderator services can also apply to managing NQF based interventions. The same training can be recommended to entrepreneurs or managers responsible for compliance.

What to Study for ETD Certification

These are three standard unit standards you can be assessed against in order to receive an ETDP verifiable certificate.

Facilitator – Assessor – Moderator

Important: You cannot complete the Moderator training without being found competent as an assessor.

Advice For E&T Business Managers Leading Training Teams

  • Complete the assessor and moderator training even if you outsource or employ to fill this role. The training provides you with a detailed understanding of how the learning value chain is managed.
    • The moderation body of knowledge equips managers who have no education background with the skills to manage and quality assure processes.
    • Don’t be a manager without the understanding of learning systems or you will find it difficult to determine if your service has been delivered with integrity and is compliant with recognised quality standards.
  • However, if you already have a qualification in education, the assessor training is advisable in order to understand industry structured curriculum development and learner assessments.
