Eastern Cape Government Electrical, Civil and Construction Learnerships R2000 p/mth

The Eastern Cape Department of Education in partnership with ETDP SETA invites applicants to apply for a Construction Learnership Programme for 2018 within the following disciplines: Electrical, Civil and Construction.

Apply NOW for a Construction Learnership in 2018

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R2000 during their placement. Ensure that you can afford to participate at this rate or be ready to negotiate for a higher stipend at your interview.

It’s no use accepting a learnership if you cannot afford to survive on what they pay you.

Since this is a government learnership, explore your right to challenge how the government provides opportunities to new market applicants. In the instance of this advert, you can challenge government policy for not being pro-poor.

The purpose of this construction Learnership is to build capacity among emerging contractors to execute the increasing amount of labor-intensive work at schools. Furthermore, learner contractors will gain hands-on practical working experience, as well as a recognized NQF qualification.

If you are interested in starting your own construction business to focus on school maintenance and other public buildings, then this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for.

You can also use this to network with and impress companies who may want to hire you to perform these duties.
