When you develop your answer, don’t assume you can use the same answer in each interview. All your answers must be considered against the specific job description and the corporate environment in which you may end up working.
Be aware that answers will lead to assumptions being made about your character and ability to fit in and do the job. Don’t say anything you may regret, but don’t avoid answering difficult questions or being silly with the ones you think are meaningless.
A friend was recently asked what car she drove in order for an interviewer to demonstrate how people often make big purchases based on superficial reasons. When she responded with a Ford, he explained and commented on how interesting it was that she didn’t conform to the norm. 🙂 No disrespect to Ford!
